“You are the star in my void, the light that will lead me, the fire that burns within me. There is not a cell in my being that would not think the world of you, just the way you are.”
I really adored D’Var and Lauren. For the warriors of Arracate a mate is the most precious thing in all the galaxy, and that really shows in all his interactions with Lauren. He absolutely worships her, is patient and respectful regarding her trauma, and he would rip anyone’s head off who dares to threaten his “L’ren”.
The story flows easily, making this a rather quick read. There is action, trauma and healing from that trauma. And ofcourse, sizzling passion! I really enjoyed this story and the second book is already waiting for me on my shelves.
Lauren
Being kidnapped and sold into sex trafficking was not on my five year plan – yet here I am, working in the alien red light district. My future feels pretty hopeless until D’Var appears. A Warrior of Arracate, defender of the Galaxy and apparently, my mate?
He swiftly sweeps me off my feet and into safety, but am I truly safe with him? Can I trust him with my body, but more importantly with my heart?
My happy ending seems more out of reach than ever, when my past catches up to me – can we form a bond when all the odds are stacked against us?
D’Var
My mate is the most precious female in all the stars, but when I finally find her, she is broken and hurting. I crave her, but first I need to get her to trust me, to accept our bond.
Just when things are looking up, she is taken from me – I vowed to her I would keep her safe, now I vow to get her back and get revenge.
